there are different types of drugs. Of course they're not all and some are for prescriptions. However we will be talking about the not so god ones.
Marijuana- comes from the hemp plant. psychoactive drug that changes the way information reaches and is acted upon on the brain.Effects: distorted perceptions,difficulty thinking, problem solving and motor skills. Feelings of of anxiety or paranoia and short term memory loss
Hallucinogens- interferes with brain and nervous system- radical distortions of reality
methamphetamine-pleasure, highly addictive, and can lead to death
Ecstasy-good feelings- intensity; affects the muscles, brain, kidneys, liver, and heart problems
cocaine-energy, alertness; effects- highly addictive, heart, brain,and kidney problems
amphetamines-( uppers, speed)- feelings of well-being and high energy
depressants- slows down brain and nervous system barbiturate(sleep aids or sedative) relaxation, mild euphoria;may cause cancer; treats nausea and pain
opiates-(heroin, morphine, codeine) euphoria, relieve the pain and dull senses;effects- highly addictive, heart, brain, kidney, lung, and liver problems
LSD- It can stimulate or depress nervous system; effects- changes mood, hallucinations, flashbacks, depression, brain problems.
mushrooms- alerted feelings, hallucinations; effects- flashbacks, brain problems
PCP- can develop signs of schizophrenia and mental illness
inhalants- a single breath replacing the oxygen with chemical and cause a heart attack or suffocation
Anabolic steroids-synthetic drug that is similar to testosterone. Increases aggressive behavior and depression can occur.
